Franklinton Community Mobility Plan Project Management Meeting #6 Minutes

General Project Progress
- Terry provided police reports and code enforcement information in GIS format for McKenna.
- Terry does not intend to provide additional traffic count information.
- Communications plan has been finalized, but documentation will continue
- EMH&T sent City invoice with project completion chart. (~30% completed and billed)
For Thursday
- MORPC
- Prepare legend of Dan’s master plan for use on exhibit.
- Collect educational tools for roundabout exhibit.
- Provide Dan with (or access to) frequency of COTA bus routes on West Broad Street.
- Ask Dan about land use issues he is planning to discuss.
- Invite Dan to meeting at EMH&T prior to workshop.

- Reserve first floor conference room for 1:30 – 3:30
After Thursday
- Terry to provide data on mailings, such as number sent and returned and when sent.
- Develop typical for all suggested improvements and take out into field for constructability.
- For parking treatments, make sure curb is substantial to prevent exhaust fumes and vehicle overhang to interfere with pedestrians on sidewalks.
- Consider Two-way conversion of Town and Rich Streets throughout study area.
- Remember that the Main Street bridge closure impacts current traffic count data and the 70/71 split improvements will impact future traffic flow.
- Plot more inventory data as appropriate.
- MORPC dataport contains land use and other general information. Detailed information can be provided, if needed. Derek Mair from EMH&T and Cheri Mansperger from MORPC have a working relationship where this information can be exchanged.
- Dilip to advise on what model/land use is available for the area.
- Use the same connotations for improvements as used in the Linden plan.
- Look at truck route north of West Broad Street.
- As appropriate, the land uses along a corridor should change to match the type of traffic currently using the corridor, instead of matching the road characteristics to the existing land uses.
- Outreach to Southpark community is difficult, especially to Somali population.
- Many people move in and out of the community frequently
- Terry to check with community liaison about bilingual/minority outreach
- Jim Stowe with government access program may have additional insight as well

- Terry to schedule meeting with IT group to discuss layout and function
- Bernice thought the City of Columbus may be getting a new website design.
- Terry to check if the City has mapping software capabilities.
- Include banner on front page that automatically updates showing the next event.
- Include Dan’s opening and closing workshop PowerPoints.
- Brick Streets
- Need to establish cost as reasonable.
- Contact Pavement Savers to see if they travel to Ohio, or have units here.
- Look into Hydrodemolition as an option for removing overlaid asphalt.
- Look into volunteer programs.
